July 24, 2025 | Reynoldsburg, Ohio — As the specialty vehicle market continues to evolve with new technologies and applications, one name remains constant. Farber Specialty Vehicles, a fourth-generation, family-owned business based in Central Ohio, is proudly celebrating its 105th consecutive year in operation—an unmatched legacy in the industry.
Now in its second century of service, Farber is reaffirming its leadership by unveiling two major customer-focused initiatives—both a first in the company’s storied history. These developments are designed to elevate the vehicle ownership experience, placing Farber at the forefront of long-term service, technological support, and operational education for mobile units serving public safety, healthcare, education, and outreach sectors.
The first of these enhancements is the launch of a remote diagnostic and monitoring platform called Farber Fleet. This always-on, cloud-connected system allows Farber’s support team to remotely monitor vehicle performance, detect alerts in real-time, and take swift action to resolve issues. Depending on the unit and its features, technicians can provide remote system resets, recommend maintenance steps, or even schedule service at a nearby authorized vendor—all without the customer needing to leave the road. The system will be compatible nationwide on units equipped with data connectivity.
“For 105 years, we’ve built more than just vehicles—we’ve built trust,” said Donavin Farber, Vice President of Farber Specialty Vehicles. “With the launch of Farber Fleet, we’re taking that trust to the next level. It’s not enough to just deliver a unit—we want to stand behind it every mile, every mission, and every moment our customers rely on it.”
In tandem, Farber is also introducing Farber University (dubbed ‘Farber U’), an educational video series presented to new customers and first-time specialty vehicle operators. The platform will cover key training topics such as generator maintenance, electrical and plumbing systems, and diesel engine care—helping users maximize their investment and extend the usable lifespan of their vehicles.
“Our goal with Farber U is simple: make ownership easier, safer, and more empowering,” Farber added. “Whether you’re operating a mobile medical clinic or a command center, we want every customer—new or experienced—to feel confident and prepared from day one. These aren’t just vehicles. They’re community lifelines, and we take that responsibility seriously.” of Farber Specialty Vehicles. “With the launch of Farber Fleet, we’re taking that trust to the next level. It’s not enough to just deliver a unit—we want to stand behind it every mile, every mission, and every moment our customers rely on it.”
These two programs—one proactive and one instructional—are designed to work hand-in-hand, giving customers both the digital oversight and practical knowledge needed to stay on the road longer, reduce downtime, and improve the overall return on their fleet investment.
Both Farber Fleet and Farber U will begin rolling out in Q3 2025, with an ongoing commitment to updates and expansions as technology and customer needs continue to advance. With these additions, Farber Specialty Vehicles strengthens its reputation not just as a manufacturer, but as a true partner in the full lifecycle of specialty vehicle ownership—proving that even after 105 years, innovation still drives everything they do.
